Resident urges traffic mitigation after Sixtieth Street rezoning, suggests access limits and traffic circles

To reduce traffic impacts on homeowners, Francois offered two measures: require that all access to the rezoned industrial site be limited to 50 Eighth Street with no access to Sixtieth Street, and consider installing a couple of traffic circles on Sixtieth Street between Penske Trucking and Clyde Park. She said traffic circles could slow traffic and discourage truck traffic, reducing wear on the road surface.
Francois concluded her remarks by asking council to consider those options; no formal council action on the suggestions was recorded in this meeting.
