Staff clarified that the city often amends budgets after bids are received if construction costs exceed estimates, and any additional appropriation would be handled at the contract-award stage.
Councilman Macomber asked for clarification about why adding the $150,000 (the delta to reach $244,000) did not change the listed budget; staff acknowledged a typo in the original staff report and provided an updated report to be included in the packet. The council voted unanimously to approve the change order after the updated report was provided and staff clarified the budgeting process.
The change order (Change Order 1-3) was moved and seconded and the council recorded a unanimous yes vote; staff will finalize the updated staff report for the record.
