Board approves northern-region attendance boundary adjustments for Mountain Trail Academy

The Queen Creek Unified School District governing board voted to approve attendance boundary adjustments in the district’s northern region to accommodate the opening of Mountain Trail Academy. Board materials said a 12-person boundary committee worked with Applied Economics to develop the proposal; staff notified impacted families and held an informational meeting on Nov. 19, 2024 at Eastmark High School.
During the meeting, staff recommended approval of the committee’s proposal and said the adjusted boundaries would take effect with the 2025–26 school year if the board approved. A motion to approve the attendance boundary adjustments was moved, seconded and passed with the board chair announcing all in favor.
