Brenda, a city staff member, outlined four related changes proposed as text amendments to the land-use code and other ordinances. One amendment would remove the requirement for a conditional-use permit for tool-rental businesses in general-business zoning to allow such uses without a CUP. "It usually is [allowed], but our code had he need to apply for a conditional use permit," Brenda said, recounting the planning-and-zoning recommendation to change the code.
