Pitt County Schools used its monthly Spotlight on Teaching to recognize student artists across grade levels, to announce district and regional teaching honors and to celebrate Pactolus Global School's recent global designation.
The board recognized the district's three holiday card winners: fifth-grader Jackson Ratu of W.H. Robinson Elementary (teacher Jason Thomas), middle-grade winner Maria Sarah (AG Cox Middle School) and high school winner Samira Williams of J.H. Rose High School (teacher Dan Neese). Each student was invited forward for brief remarks and photos.
