Regan Minor, chairman of the Historic District Commission, said the work had already been completed before the meeting because the utility — identified in the meeting as NPU — deemed the existing electrical system unsafe and required an emergency repair. “This is just a very routine electrical replacement and upgrade to the property,” Minor said.
The commission discussed that the interior and exterior electrical boxes had already been upgraded and that the homeowner and contractor had been asked to follow the commission’s guidelines on paint and finish so the exterior box would blend with the property. The commission moved to accept the application as submitted and held a roll-call vote.
Votes at a glance: The motion to accept the COA passed unanimously, with Commissioners Megan, Sean, Tyler, Ed and Chairman Regan Minor voting yes.
The commission’s action was procedural: it accepted the completed emergency repair into its records and requested that the exterior box be painted to match the house. No further conditions or enforcement actions were announced at the meeting.
