The Lake County School Board approved the district’s TISA accountability review during its Jan. 13, 2025 meeting. Board members said the review reflects the funding formula and accountability categories the state uses and recommended posting the document on the district website for public comment.

Staff explained TISA replaces the prior per-pupil funding (PPP) approach and ties funding and accountability to a broader set of measures, including literacy, numeracy, growth and other indicators. The review was described as aligned with district improvement work, high-quality instructional materials, and response-to-intervention processes.

A motion to approve the TISA accountability review was made and the board voted in favor; the meeting record shows an affirmative voice vote, with the chair noting the motion was approved.
