Commissioners spent a substantial portion of the meeting on the county’s website, IT ticketing and social media. County staff and commissioners agreed to consolidate department social accounts where appropriate, designate a point person to coordinate web updates and event postings, and formalize a ticket process for IT work. Chastity said she will take responsibility for centralizing content updates and coordinating with IT; the board approved creating a dedicated SharePoint project site for ongoing capital projects and asked staff to begin populating project folders with documents and photographs so commissioners can review materials in advance of decisions. Staff also discussed using ARPA funds and other existing budgets for specific web‑ or marketing‑related tasks and asked departments to route event flyers to IT via the established ticket system so items will appear in a new “upcoming events” tab that will be built into the county’s next website platform.
