The motion approved charging the upfitting cost to County Equipment Fund 084. The motion was moved and seconded in open session and recorded as approved.
Boot and footwear vouchers
Sheriff’s office staff requested $1,050 from the county’s crime-prevention fund to purchase boot vouchers for deputies and $75 comfort vouchers for dispatch staff. The commissioners moved and seconded a request for financial assistance from the crime-prevention fund and approved $1,050 to cover the vouchers; the motion passed on a voice vote.
GIS mapping maintenance contract
The board also voted to sign a contract with Kimball Mapping for $3,900 for GSI ownership and mapping maintenance; the motion was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
Why it matters
The vehicle upfit is an operational expense that equips a patrol vehicle with electronics and other components needed for county law enforcement duties. The boots and footwear vouchers are a modest expenditure intended to support deputy safety and dispatch staff comfort; the mapping contract supports county GIS maintenance.
