Consent agenda: Motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Miss Bates and seconded by Mr. Lee. The board voted 6 in favor, 1 absent; motion carries.
Policy committee items (first reading): The policy committee brought forward policies for first reading including Policy GCCAAA (sick leave bank), Policy JLA (student accident insurance), Policy KDD (media relations), and Policy KDDA (press releases, conferences and interviews). Motion to bring these out of committee carried 6 in favor, 1 absent; because the items came out of committee a second was not required.
Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) resolution: Motion made by Mr. Guthrie and seconded by Mr. Farnsworth to approve CEP status for all Dorchester 2 schools as written in the letter included in the packet. Vote: 6 in favor, 1 absent; motion carries. The resolution authorizes staff to submit the district’s CEP letter to the State Department of Education for 2025–26.
Adjournment: Motion to adjourn was made by Miss Bates and seconded by Miss King. Vote recorded as 6 in favor, 1 absent; meeting adjourned.
