San Benito County task force reports fewer illegal-dumping complaints, outlines summer cleanups

Frankie Sanchez, recycling and illegal-dumping coordinator for San Benito County Integrated Waste Management (IWM), told the local task force on June 6 that the county logged 12 illegal-dumping reports in Quarter 2 and that San Juan Bautista reported none.
Sanchez said the quarter included outreach and events intended to reduce litter and encourage proper disposal. She told the task force the county received approximately $26,000 under the City/County Payment Program (CCPP) for fiscal 2025 and submitted a progress report on an SB 1383 local assistance grant to CalRecycle after receiving $269,157.…
