The Littleton Arts & Culture Board set a Jan. 31, 2025, deadline for nominations for the City of Littleton Arts & Culture Award and discussed how the board will evaluate nominees.
Staff said nominees can submit applications via the form to be circulated and that staff will reissue the nomination form and reminders. Anna said she would send the nomination materials and follow the same circulation process used last year: “Ill do that similar to, like, what I did last year,” she said.
Board members agreed to submit their top nomination to staff before the February meeting so the board could tally results and record a vote at that meeting. Members discussed whether to require a completed nomination form versus allowing supporting links; several members said a completed narrative form and supporting letters are more useful for judging a nominees body of work than a single external link.
The group discussed inviting nominees and runners‑up to the awards event and the possibility of ranking candidates or including a "none of the above" option if submissions do not meet the award standard. One member asked the board to consider whether the years nominations warranted giving no award.
Staff said they would compile nominations and share them in advance so members could do background checks or review nominees body of work before voting at the February meeting. The board agreed that the public record should reflect the final vote taken at the meeting.
