Easement abandonment (A25-1): The commission approved an abandonment request for the westernmost 8-foot public utility easement within Parcel L of Chaparral Terrace (A25-1). Planning staff said utility companies confirmed there are no utilities in the easement and voiced no objections. The public hearing drew no speakers and the commission voted 5-0 to approve the abandonment.
Preliminary condominium plat (S22-004): The commission approved the preliminary condominium plat for The Village at Mercado Condominiums (Tract 5036), a proposal to convert an existing multifamily parcel into condominiums composed of condo duplex units with a total of eight units. Planning staff said the units would be sold individually and that areas outside unit boundaries would be common area and maintained by a homeowners association. No public comment was recorded. The commission voted 5-0 to approve the preliminary condominium plat S22-004.
Preliminary plat (S25-001): The commission also approved the preliminary plat for the Residences at Parkside, a roughly 20-acre project in the City Center District that would create 155 single-family lots. See separate coverage for details on S25-001.
All four actions were approved by recorded 5-0 votes. The transcript does not identify the individual commissioners who made or seconded the motions; each vote was announced as "5 in favor," and one commissioner was noted absent from roll call (Commissioner Kramer).
