The Englewood Sustainability Commission approved last month’s meeting minutes, swore in new members and elected leadership during a regular meeting.
The commission unanimously approved the minutes from its prior meeting after a motion to adopt was moved and seconded; no roll-call opposition was recorded. The group then administered oaths to incoming commissioners and alternate members, including Jillian Williams, who recited the public oath to “support the Constitution of the United States… the Constitution of the State of Colorado… and the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Englewood.”
Following the swearing-in, commissioner Patrick was nominated and confirmed as chair by voice vote. A nomination for vice chair—Tracy—was made and seconded, and commissioners voted to confirm her as vice chair. Commissioners indicated the vice chair role is not a large time commitment; Tracy accepted the nomination.
Commission staff noted that applicants for commission vacancies are accepted roughly twice per year, and encouraged interest from guests present at the meeting.
The meeting concluded with standard business items, including a schedule of future topics and an invitation for commissioners to propose agenda items for the March meeting.
