The board also approved renewal of the Data Axle reference database and accepted the annual Community Library Enhancement grant from the state library.
Those approvals came without extended debate. Library Director Josh Johnson told the board that December figures remain unaudited because county tax revenues for the prior year typically do not arrive until April and audited numbers from the controller arrive in July: “we won't have audited figures,” he said, adding that “as long as we are within bounds for each of the sections of the budget, we should be fine.” Johnson flagged postage as a line that is a bit over budget and said collection…
