Polk County commissioners approve meeting agenda and amend Dec. 10 minutes

During approval of the minutes, a commissioner asked to amend the Dec. 10 record to replace the phrase "homeless alliance" with "Paths," saying that was what they had intended to say. The amendment was offered and approved without recorded opposition.
Earlier in the meeting the board recognized David Rapp for constructing a people mover for the Polk County Fairgrounds. The board read a certificate noting Rapp volunteered for the fair since he was 15 and that the people mover took three months to build with donated materials. The board named several donors during the recognition, including Ram Steel Co., Hampton Lumber, Bond Roof Care, Point S Tires, Rick Real Farm Supply, Jefferson Truck and Auto, and noted Doug Hebert donated equipment assistance.
