The Abilene City Council took the following formal actions during its meeting (items listed in meeting order where votes were recorded):
- Consent agenda (items 2–14): Approved by motion. A council member requested that an abstention be recorded on item 4; the consent motion otherwise carried.
- Item 15: Approved expansion of a reinvestment zone to include additional Lansium property (second and final reading to create the zone footprint). Motion carried.
- Item 16: Council voted to reconsider a prior denial and then approved a resolution of support for the 301 Cypress housing tax-credit application (motion to reconsider passed; resolution of support passed with one recorded no vote by Councilman Reagan).
- Item 17: Approved Conditional Use Permit (CUP2025-01) for a 150-foot communications monopole at the Taylor County Expo Center; motion carried.
- Item 18: Approved Conditional Use Permit (CUP2025-02) to allow a drive-through lane at 3210 Antley Road; motion carried.
- Item 19: Approved rezoning (Z2025-01) of approximately 2.2 acres on Buffalo Gap Road from General Retail to General Commercial for Christian Brothers Automotive; motion carried (P&Z recommendation had been denial).
- Item 20: Approved rezoning (PDD request) to permit a distillery at 1066 South Second; motion carried.
- Item 22: Approved tax-abatement agreement for Lansium to make additional pods eligible for abatements (motion carried).
- Item 23: Approved appointment of Ken Hogan as alternate to the Board of Adjustment; motion carried.

Motion carries,” and the clerk recorded final carriage of motions.
