The Bryan Planning and Zoning Commission on Jan. 16 re-elected its leadership for 2025, approved the consent agenda and heard administrative notices about upcoming items.
Commissioner Balke will continue as chairwoman and Commissioner Watson will continue as vice chair, with Commissioner Rodriguez remaining as parliamentarian, the commission confirmed by voice vote. A motion to retain the current leadership passed without objection.
The commission approved the consent agenda by voice vote. The staff record notes that Commissioner Clark filed an affidavit for agenda item FP24-122 (a funnel plat) and will abstain from voting on that specific consent item; the clerk also noted that Clark’s affidavit means his vote is not counted for that item. The consent agenda otherwise passed unanimously.
At the start of the meeting staff advised attendees that Conditional Use Permit CU24-106 will not be heard at the Jan. 16 meeting; the applicants requested the item be postponed to the March 2025 meeting. Property owners within 200 feet will be notified in writing should the item be scheduled for future consideration, staff said.
The meeting opened and closed "Hear Citizens" with no public speakers. The commission adjourned at approximately 6:21 p.m.
