Sac Metro to help maintain regional air‑monitoring network while Yolo‑Solano staff deployed

"If we don't have solid data, then we can't for example say we've made attainment," he told the board.
Lautzenheiser said that Yolo‑Solano notified Sacramento Metro that a key staff member who operates their monitoring stations will be deployed on active duty for roughly four months and asked for assistance. He said district staff volunteered to take on maintenance duties during off hours to keep the regional network operating without degrading Sacramento’s data quality.
Board members and Director Guerra praised the regional collaboration. Guerra — the district’s representative to the Basinwide Council and a frequent CARB participant — noted Sacramento’s work over many years to expand local monitoring and described the region’s network as among the most robust in the country, citing local programs and partnerships that supported grants and voucher programs.
