Steph Cocker was elected president of the Wilson School Board by voice vote at the board’s Dec. 3 reorganization meeting; Jennifer Denny was elected vice president by voice vote.
The board voted to name Mrs. Burkholder as board secretary and to designate the administrative assistant to the superintendent and the director of public relations as substitute board secretaries as needed. The board also approved continuing in force the district’s existing policies.
During the reorganization portion of the meeting, members handled several routine appointments. The motion to name Burkholder secretary was moved and seconded and carried on a voice vote. The board approved setting the board secretary’s salary at $0. The board also appointed all non‑officer board members as assistant secretaries to serve in the secretary’s place if the secretary and administrative assistant are unavailable.
Board members completed a roll‑call vote to affirm continuation of current district policies; the roll call resulted in unanimous yes votes from present members.
The reorganization proceeded into the regular meeting without further changes to officer assignments or the policy roll call.
