The update said the remediation effort has progressed since the last briefing on Jan. 13 and that the city is focused on returning all systems to full production. Grady declined to elaborate on investigative details, citing constraints imposed by the ongoing investigation.
Grady closed by noting that "cybercrime remains a persistent challenge for governments, businesses and individuals alike" and that the administration is committed to supporting those affected and strengthening systems to prevent future attacks.
The briefing drew no council questions during the public update segment. Council President Harden announced administrative details later in the meeting, including a rescheduled final budget hearing and instructions for submitting testimony.
