6) Closed session reportouts (legal defense directions) - The board directed county counsel to defend and authorize defense (with reservation of rights) in two cases: Domingo Hernandez Perez et al. v. County of Tulare, Tulare County Superior Court No. VCU312826 (personal injury/property damage); and Jose Villasenor et al. v. County of Tulare, Eastern District of California, No. 1:24-cv-01411 (allegations of workplace retaliation). Motions passed (5–0) as recorded in closed-session reportouts.
