West Bend board reviews proposed WASB delegate resolutions; no action taken

Superintendent Wimmer reminded members the WASB resolutions are advocacy positions, not law, and that the district's delegate should know if the board objects to any proposals. Board members did not identify major objections but discussed one change in language intended to widen pathways to teaching: a resolution would allow consideration of either credential or experience as a basis for hiring in some shortage areas, switching an "and" to an "or." Wimmer said the tweak would "widen a pathway for people" and help districts sponsor qualified paraprofessionals into licensure pipelines.
