Public Works committee forwards $288,836 from JPD roof project to parks deferred maintenance

The Public Works and Facilities Committee on Dec. 2 voted to forward to the full assembly a request to transfer $288,836 from the JPD roof replacement capital improvement project to the Parks and Recreation deferred building maintenance CIP.
Engineering staff told the committee the JPD roof bid came in lower than anticipated and the project is being closed out; the transfer would move the surplus back into deferred building maintenance funding. The committee did not record further debate and advanced the transfer by unanimous consent.
The transfer will be presented to the assembly for final approval at a future meeting.
