Committee votes: resolutions approved across multiple Chemung County committees; one parking IT item postponed

The Chemung County Legislature committees passed a slate of resolutions and motions across several standing committees at the Jan. 27 sessions. Committees handled procurement authorizations, contract renewals, grant acceptances and a number of department agreements. The following is a summary of recorded committee actions during the meeting. Where a roll call or named votes were not recorded in the transcript the committee chair called for the ayes and declared the motions carried.
Aviation Committee • Resolution authorizing a 2025 service agreement on behalf of the Elmira/Corning Regional Airport — motion moved and seconded; vote recorded as "carried" (all in favor).
Buildings & Grounds Committee (combined vote) • Resolution declaring county property surplus. • Resolution authorizing payment of tax refunds not to exceed a specified amount without prior audit. • Resolution approving the department’s use of a Suffolk County bid for W. W. Grainger purchases. • Resolution authorizing change order no. 1 with John Mills Electric for a Park Station project.
