McCall council approves Davis Avenue contract, backs North Mission grant and several park and permitting measures

The McCall City Council on an evening at the American Legion Hall awarded a $3,126,691.60 construction contract for Davis Avenue Reconstruction Phase 2, adopted a resolution to seek federal funds for North Mission Street improvements, approved two parks grants to improve river access, authorized a cooperative weed-management agreement with Valley County and the U.S. Forest Service, rejected bids for a separate Mission Street resurfacing project and approved a resort-city restaurant specialty liquor license for McCall Brewery.

The council’s actions aim to fund and advance several transportation and parks projects and to clear the way for short-term permitting for a local restaurant. The Davis Avenue contract is the largest single action: it includes multiple bid alternates that add parking, a separated pathway and use of higher-durability HDPE water pipe, and authorizes staff to manage change orders up to 15% of the contract price.
