The City Council approved a zoning amendment to the PAG Leander Planned Unit Development to allow an automobile dealership with outdoor vehicle storage on a 13.342-acre parcel.
Executive Director of Development Services Griffin said the PUD adopted in 2018 allowed a Honda dealership and that the amendment would allow a similar dealership configuration on the corner parcel being affected by the Hero Way expansion. Griffin said staff recommended approval and that the Planning and Zoning Commission had recommended approval at its Dec. 12 meeting.
The public hearing attracted no speakers. After the hearing closed council members moved to approve the zoning amendment; the motion passed unanimously.
The approval modifies PUD allowances for car-dealership uses on the specified lot; staff did not identify additional conditions beyond the PUD amendment during the meeting.
