Northwest Library retail space declared surplus: The board declared approximately 6,000 square feet of retail space in the new Northwest Library building (2030 NW Pettygrove St.) surplus to county needs, clearing the way for county leasing steps. Library staff said the new building is roughly 17,000 sq ft and about 11,000 sq ft will be used for library operations; the separate retail space has a separate entrance and staff will return to the board with recommended lease terms and a tenant selection when ready.
