At its Feb. 13 meeting the Lexington City Planning Commission approved the consent agenda and granted a string of applicant requests to postpone or withdraw items on the agenda. The commission approved four consent items and adopted motions, generally by unanimous vote, to postpone a number of major-development, subdivision and final-plat items to dates requested by applicants.
Staff presented four cases for the consent agenda: PLN MJDP 20-73 (Liberty Road Service Center, reapproval), PLN MJDP 20-379 (Veil property, reapproval), PLN MJDP 20-494 (Aylesford subdivision / Holy Spirit Newman Center, final development plan) and PLN MJDP 20-504 (The Village at Great Acres, Lot 2). No members of the public asked that any of those items be removed from consent and the commission approved them collectively.
Separately, the commission granted postponement or withdrawal requests for multiple cases after applicants said they needed time to address outstanding conditions or to complete required statements. Examples recorded in the meeting include: - PLN MJDP 25-1 (GDK Farm) — postponed to March 13 at applicant request to review an added staff condition. - PLN MJDP 25-3 (Sakura Justice Property Unit 6, Polo Club Center Lot 1) — applicant requested a two-week postponement to Feb. 27 to complete a comprehensive plan compliance statement and infrastructure statement; commission granted postponement. - PLNMJSUB24-11 (Hoovan Hoover and Ford Philpott Evangelistic Association final subdivision plat) — postponed to March 13. - PLN MJDP 24-56 (Red Mile mixed-use development) — two-week postponement to a February date requested; commission granted postponement. - PLN MJDP 24-96 (Ramsey property) — applicant requested withdrawal; commission approved withdrawal. - PLN MJDP 24-99 and PLN MJDP 20-?? (Brew Lot / Hamburg East items) and other items on pages 5–8 were postponed typically for two weeks or 30 days as requested by applicants; the commission recorded unanimous votes in favor.
Most of these motions were made by commissioners from the dais and carried without recorded roll-call tallies, using the Granicus electronic voting or raise-of-hands when requested.
