Queen Anne's County sheriff names seven 'Christmas Most Wanted' suspects, asks public for tips

Sheriff Gary Hoffman of Queen Anne's County released a recorded "Christmas Most Wanted" message in which he named seven people the sheriff's office is seeking and urged residents to report tips to help locate them.

Hoffman's message combined a holiday-themed narration with operational details: he recited names, ages, physical descriptions, charges and last known addresses for each person and said his office is working with partners, including UAC TV, to publicize the list. "Turn yourselves in," he said, addressing the people named. He also asked residents to report suspicious activity and to remember first responders during the holidays.

Hoffman named the following people as wanted and provided the information below exactly as read in the message:

- Harry Daniel Kane Jr., 50; listed as 5 ft. 8 in., 130 lbs.; wanted for failure to comply on original charges of assault in the second degree and illegal possession of ammunition; last known address listed as Pennsylvania Avenue, Centerville, Md.

- Kevin Earl Carver, 35; listed as 5 ft. 9 in., 100–125 lbs.; wanted for failure to comply on original charges of fraud, identification information theft and theft in the $100–$1,500 range; last known address listed as Harmony Road, Lewes, Del.

- Joseph Gregory White, 57; listed as 6 ft. 2 in., 234 lbs.; wanted for violation of probation on an original charge of theft in the $100–under $1,500 range; last known address listed as Cecil Drive, Chester, Md.

- Robert Corey Barnes, 46; listed as 5 ft. 11 in., 215 lbs.; wanted for failure to appear on original charges including driving while impaired, attempt by driver to elude law enforcement, negligent driving, reckless driving, malicious destruction of property under $1,000, and a body attachment for failure to pay; last known address listed as Bayside Drive, Stevensville, Md.

- Kayson Cali Whitney, 27; listed as 5 ft. 10 in., 165 lbs.; wanted for violation of probation on original charges of controlled dangerous substance (CDS) possession with intent to distribute and CDS possession (not cannabis), and CDS paraphernalia possession; last known address listed as Liberty Road, Randallstown, Md.

- David Duane Morris, 48; listed as 5 ft. 10 in., 230 lbs.; wanted for violation of probation for an original charge of fourth-degree burglary (a dwelling) and for driving without a required license, and for failure to appear on an original charge of driving without a required license; last known address listed as Second Street, Crompton, Md.

- Brett Aaron Silverman, 30; listed as 5 ft. 6 in., 145 lbs.; wanted for failure to comply, resisting/interfering with arrest and second-degree escape; last known address listed as Danville Drive, Rockville, Md.

Hoffman said the sheriff's office and its partners are publicizing the list to increase tips and called on anyone with information to report it. "Please take the time to report the tips that you have of suspicious activity," he said. He provided several contact options: the Queen Anne's County Sheriff's app, Facebook Messenger to the sheriff's office, email at sheriff-info@qac.org, and the anonymous tip line at 410-758-6666.

The message thanked Queen Anne's County Emergency Services, detention-center staff, fire and EMS personnel, dispatchers and deputies for their work during the holiday season.
