Midvale City Council approves zoning, stormwater and transportation updates and funds parks plan; creates business safety reimbursement program

Midvale City Council voted on a package of ordinances and resolutions at its meeting, approving a text amendment to subdivision requirements, an update to construction-site stormwater enforcement to conform with state law, adoption of the transportation element of the general plan, authorization to contract for a parks and open-space master plan, and a small-business safety improvement reimbursement program funded through the city’s homeless shelter mitigation fund.

City planning staff presented the ordinance amending municipal code sections 16.02.020, 16.02.030 and 16.03.030 to move the requirement to show existing structures from the recorded final plat to the application submittal materials; staff said the change will keep recorded plats from becoming out of date while preserving review of existing structures during application review.
