Board committee recommends selling Avis parcel as single 70-acre tract after environmental review

He said the parcel is "about 70 some acres" and the district is seeking a realtor to estimate market value.
Broomgard noted district staff and local volunteers had invested time in evaluating subdivision options and in producing maps; he thanked Nate Hollick for his pro bono mapping work and said the Cedar Run consultant billed $500 (five hours at $100 per hour).
Board members present asked a few clarifying questions about potential lot lines, leasing of woodlands as a buffer and the district's next steps; Broomgard said the committee is focused on getting an accurate market appraisal to inform any decision to sell.
