The Weber County Planning Commission approved minutes from its Sept. 17, Oct. 8 and Nov. 12, 2024 meetings after commissioners raised minor corrections during a pre-meeting review.
Commissioners said some speaker attributions were mistaken in the Sept. 17 draft; commissioner Wicker was credited where other commissioners had spoken and several lines misattributed remarks. The commission agreed to approve the minutes with the corrections identified in the pre-meeting and moved the packet forward.
Commissioner DeBell made the motion to approve the three sets of minutes as corrected; Commissioner McCormick seconded. The chair called for the vote; the motion passed unanimously.
The commission discussed timing and quality of the contractor-produced transcripts and minutes. Several commissioners asked staff to pursue faster turnaround and improved speaker identification so the record is clearer. Staff said they are contracting transcription work because in-house resources are limited and that they will follow up with the contractor to reduce errors and backlog.
The commission then moved on to its scheduled administrative agenda items, including a design-review request and a preliminary subdivision application.
