Board of Adjustment Panel C approves two uncontested variances, holds one case to Feb. 19
Summary
At its Jan. 23 meeting the Board of Adjustment Panel C approved two uncontested variance applications on the consent docket, approved meeting minutes, and held case BDA234-155 to Feb. 19, 2025 to be heard by Panel B.
The Board of Adjustment Panel C on Jan. 23, 2025 approved two uncontested variance applications listed on the consent docket, approved the minutes of the prior meeting, and held another case for transfer to Panel B on Feb. 19, 2025.
The board approved the uncontested docket by a 5–0 vote. The approved items included:
- VDA245-005: Application by Root Sol Solar Zano, represented by Sherrayar Jawi Jawad, for a variance to the front-yard setback in the Dallas Development Code. The board granted the request subject to compliance with the most recent version of the submitted plans.
- VDA2341449: Application by Rob Baldwin for a variance to the front-yard setback in the Dallas Development Code. The board granted the request subject to compliance with the most recent version of the submitted plans.
The board also approved minutes from the previous meeting (members referenced December 16 and earlier records during roll call) and recorded that approval as unanimous.
Separately, the board could not hear case BDA234-155 (929 Brookwood Drive) because Panel B had previously considered a fee-waiver request for that address; under board rules, an address must be heard by the same panel that previously addressed a fee waiver. The board voted to hold BDA234-155 until Feb. 19, 2025 and requested the board secretary to transfer the case to Panel B. That motion passed 5–0.
Mary Williams, the board secretary, will mail orders and notices to applicants; the mailed records become part of the public file for each case.
