Commissioners reappoint members to Public Building Commission ahead of Jan. 27 meeting

The Saline County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution Jan. 14 to appoint members to the Public Building Commission, the local entity created in 2020 to assist financing for the county’s public safety radio system.
Hannah Bet, Deputy County Administrator, told the board the Public Building Commission comprises five members, with each county commissioner appointing a member for a term that coincides with the commissioner’s term. Because two commissioners are newly sworn in, reappointments were presented so the PBC would be prepared for its Jan. 27 annual meeting.
Commissioner Sparks’ appointee in the resolution is listed as Rita Dyster. The resolution was moved, seconded and approved with no budget impact recorded during the discussion.
The board adopted Resolution 25-24-21 as presented; no public comment was offered during the appointment vote.
