The St. Augustine Historic Architectural Review Board voted unanimously Feb. 20 to approve an expedited certificate of demolition for a property identified as HP2025-000460, 6 Theophilia Court.
Board members approved the staff recommendation after a brief presentation that said a review of the city’s historic property records found the building is not a local landmark, not within a listed historic district and shows no evidence supporting designation. No members of the public spoke in opposition during the expedited hearing.
The board’s action was recorded as a unanimous vote in favor. The file will be processed according to the city’s demolition procedures for expedited items.
The applicant waived the right to a full public hearing as allowed for expedited items. Staff said photographs and documentation had been submitted for the public record and remained available through the historic preservation office.
