Carlsbad Planning Commission elects Roy Means chair and David Huenger vice chair for 2025

At its Feb. 5 meeting, the Carlsbad Planning Commission elected Roy Means to serve as chair and Commissioner David Huenger to serve as vice chair for the remainder of the 2025 calendar year. Both selections were approved unanimously by the seven-member commission.

Nomination and vote: Commissioner Stein nominated Roy Means for chair; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Hubinger and approved unanimously. For vice chair, Commissioner Stein nominated Commissioner David Huenger; the motion received a second and passed unanimously. The commission followed a process of soliciting interest, taking nominations, and voting during the department reports portion of the agenda.
