Tulsa City Council approves bond issuance, budget amendments, appointments and rezonings in unanimous votes

Budget items approved on second reading included supplemental appropriations for the convention and tourism fund ($100,000), the animal shelter (roof repairs, $43,400), opioid settlement funds to be allocated via CVS and Walgreens settlement accounts ($668,000 and $297,000 respectively), and transfers for code enforcement work ($302,768). The council also approved small grant appropriations including $2,500 for the Asian Affairs Commission's Lunar New Year celebration and use of police equitable-sharing funds for equipment and training ($50,000 and $200,000 from specified subfunds) as listed on the agenda.
The council approved mayoral items including a travel donation to cover attendance at the American Water Works Association conference and a special event application for the Saint Francis Tulsa Tough Williams County bicycle ride scheduled for June 8, 2025.
