Prosper parks staff told the Parks and Recreation Board on Jan. 23 that construction at Raymond Park and Parvin Park is progressing and that Collin County awarded a $400,000 grant to add a trail segment at Raymond Park, with the town matching those funds.
At Raymond Park, staff said the restroom/concession building is about 40% complete and crews plan to pour concrete and start the playground soon. "It's probably gonna be August or September when we're doing a ribbon cutting," staff said. The planned trail around the north and west sides will include a 125-foot pedestrian bridge.
