Board approves one-day Class 6 beer permit for Morton Museum rehearsal dinner

The Town of Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted unanimously to approve a Class 6 beer permit permitting on-premise beer service at a Morton Museum rehearsal dinner in May 2025.
Adam Hamrick, assistant town administrator, told the board a Class 6 permit authorizes the sale of beer for on-premise consumption exclusively on town-owned property and that the request applied only to the Butler-Misenheimer rehearsal dinner at the Morton Museum on a date in May 2025 specified in the rental agreement. Hamrick said the approval would be solely for that date, time and location.
Hamrick said the mother of the groom, Shelley Butler, underwent a criminal background check and the Collierville Police Department found no disqualifying history. The caterer will provide liquor-liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 naming the Town of Collierville as an additional insured and the insurer will waive rights of subrogation against the town, Hamrick said.
After a motion and second, the clerk called the roll; all voting members present voted yes (Robbins, Hall, Jordan, Marshall, Stamps, Mayor Frasier). The board noted the approval is at the board's discretion and is subject to the caterer's alcohol policy and the town's rental conditions.
The board took no additional action beyond the single-date permit approval.
