Tamara Goetsch, Marion County Business Services Director, said the units will provide modernized storage and lockers for evidence handling and secure short-term storage until property is processed, destroyed according to law, or used in court. Goetsch described the product as commonly used in regional evidence facilities and said the contract covers both procurement and installation.
Goetsch told the board construction on the new Evidence Building is expected to start in late spring, with the invitation to bid (ITB) to be released the following week. Commissioner Cameron moved to approve the agreement for delivery and installation through Aug. 31, 2027; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The contract amount and schedule were recorded on the meeting record; no additional conditions or amendments were added during the approval.
