Moffat County commissioners on Tuesday approved the meeting agenda and consent agenda, confirmed a slate of community volunteer board appointments, designated a new commission chair for the next term and approved a final retainage payment for an airport project.

The board first approved the agenda and then the consent agenda (items A through M). County staff noted the Road and Bridge salvage-metal contract for the landfill received one bid (Exfield Services), which led to its inclusion on the consent agenda. The board carried the consent agenda by voice vote.

Under community board appointments, commissioners approved or continued a set of volunteer representatives across multiple local boards. The slate included: Cemetery Board -- Owen Grant and Duke Duzic; Community Correction Board -- Debbie Belleville, Mike Flannery and Nalay Cashmore; Employee Retirement Board -- Bonnie Shirley; Housing Authority Board -- Carol Preest and Tom Mathers; Land Use Board -- Miranda Kowczyk and Kim Gresser (noted as "Gesserit/Gressett" in the application list); Library Board of Trustees -- Gloria Davon/Devan; Local Marketing District -- Wade Gerber and Marshall Gray; MCTA Board -- Nikki Maudie; Maybelle Community Center Board -- Casey Harrod; Memorial Regional Health Board of Trustees -- Denise [last name not specified]; and a planning-and-zoning alternate elevated to a voting position for Richmond (applicant name not specified). Commissioners noted some other boards still have open seats.

Commissioners also chose a new commission chair to take effect at the next meeting. Commissioner Melody Villard was appointed chair for the upcoming term after a motion and second.

In other business, Candice Miller presented a final pay application for CR Contracting for the airport apron seal coat and restripe project. The work was paid from ARPA funds earmarked for the airport; staff requested release of partial retainage in the amount of $6,283.70. The board approved the final payment.

All formal approvals were taken by motion and carried on voice votes during the meeting.
