The settlement, as read into the record, also sets a base index price of $4.80 per gallon for 7,500 gallons per month for base index volume and specifies that the contractor may receive a 3% CPI adjustment for the remainder of this contract year and a cap of 7% CPI for future contract years (years 4–5).
Town counsel described the elements to council and asked for authorization for the town manager to execute the settlement documents. A motion "to accept the motion as read" passed unanimously.
