The Georgetown ISD Board of Trustees approved a land purchase during the Feb. 4 workshop, authorizing the superintendent to execute closing documents for an approximately 10.01-acre site in northwest Georgetown intended for a future high school and other district facilities.
At 3:57 p.m. the board chair opened the formal action portion of the workshop and a staff presentation recommended that trustees authorize execution of the purchase contract, an exchange contract and a development agreement, and that the board secretary execute a certificate of resolutions memorializing the board’s actions.
Trustee Hirsch moved the motion; a trustee seconded the motion. The chair called for the vote: “All in favor? Aye.” “Any opposed?” No opposed votes were recorded; the chair said, “Motion carries.” No additional conditions were read into the public record.
Staff did not provide an ordinance number, resolution number, or further identifiers for the contract in open session. Trustees then proceeded to the budget workshop portion of the meeting.
