On housing, Grumpert said a MARC survey of 43 communities found 14 with some form of short‑term rental policy, nine without a policy but discussing the issue, and that many communities treat short‑term rentals as rental units rather than event venues. On air quality, she said the March 1–Oct. 31 ozone season had two ozone alerts and six days when concentrations exceeded the federal standard; MARC emphasized continued regional collaboration on monitoring and response.
