Staff said a signed contract was required before the board's meeting (previously scheduled for January 30 and later moved to March).
Alpha Engineering representatives attended the meeting and expressed appreciation for the city's long relationship. Staff recommended approval and noted that the city attorney approved the contract form.
A motion to renew the contract passed on a voice vote. Councilmembers moved and seconded the motion at the meeting; staff noted the contract language aligns with the city's longstanding relationship with Alpha Engineering.
The signed contract will be submitted to the Utah Board of Water Resources as part of the city's loan application process. Staff said the contract does not change rates previously accepted by the city; it establishes a formal, signed agreement necessary for the board's administrative review.
