Meridian council approves Sky Ranch subdivision with condition to preserve cross-access and require stubbed road

The Meridian City Council on Dec. 10 approved the Sky Ranch annexation and preliminary plat (file H2024-0022), clearing the way for a single‑family subdivision of roughly 285 lots with conditions that include preserving a cross‑access easement, installing a stub street and adhering to a phasing plan. The motion passed 3–1.

City planning staff told the council that the application combines annexation and rezoning requests and a preliminary plat for 285 building lots, 28 common lots and multiple common drives. "Staff was directed to work with the applicant to develop and present appropriate conditions of approval," planning staff member Ms. Ritter said, summarizing the staff and applicant negotiations since a Nov. 19 continuance.
