GREELEY, Colo. — District staff led a tutorial at the Greeley‑Evans School District 6 Board of Education work session on the district’s migration from BoardDocs to the Diligent Community platform, and trustees discussed activation steps, annotation behavior, and migration timing.
“This is our last meeting of BoardDocs,” Amy Lemon, a district staff member, told the board as she opened the demonstration. She guided trustees through account activation, noting activation emails should come from a Diligent sender and recommending trustees check spam folders and use the activate link in their email.
Lemon said the district had already resent activation messages and that Diligent is the parent company of BoardDocs. She demonstrated features trustees will see when logged in, including the ability to create personal annotations and highlights that are visible only to the individual user, and noted the system will warn users if an agenda item they annotated has been updated.
Trustees reported mixed experiences during the live demonstration. Several members were able to log in without reentering credentials; others described receiving repeated activation emails, being routed into an activation loop, or seeing slow page responses. One trustee said the system performance felt “very slow” when navigating policies. Lemon advised trustees that BoardDocs would remain accessible while migration proceeded and that district staff expected policies to be live in the new platform within about a month.
The presenter walked trustees through where archived agendas and documents will appear and said older materials will be searchable in the new platform after migration. Lemon also said the district has 20% support from Diligent’s help team and that support contact had been responsive during the rollout.
No formal action was taken; the session functioned as an instructional demonstration and an opportunity for trustees to raise login problems and feature questions to district staff.
