"This is something that is done every year, done specifically by homesteaders, for homesteaders," Faberido said, and noted prior support from the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority that helped make the event island-wide.
The trustees approved the sponsorship by roll call with all voting members recorded as voting yes. The meeting also approved committee minutes for Jan. 22, 2025, and Feb. 5, 2025 earlier in the session.
