North Clackamas receives clean audit for fiscal 2023–24, auditors report no misstatements

North Clackamas School District staff and external auditors reported a successful fiscal audit for the 2023–24 year at the Jan. 16 board meeting.
Matt Macara, executive director of finance and business services, presented the district’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024, and introduced Connor Delaney of the auditing firm Polly Rogers & Co. Macara said the district will again apply for a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials and a similar award from the Government Finance Officers Association.
Delaney told the board the audit produced an unmodified (clean) opinion, the district complied with governmental auditing standards and federal regulations, and “the information’s always really well organized,” thanking the district accounting staff by name for timely cooperation. Macara said auditors found all significant transactions recorded in the proper periods, there were no corrected or uncorrected misstatements and no disagreements between management and auditors.
The audit was presented for review; the board did not take a formal vote on the audit presentation at the meeting.
